Early Concept

At the very early stage, the story is about watermelon. People are so addicted to eating watermelons that their heads turn into watermelons. People who eat watermelon (吃瓜群众) in Chinese stands for those rubbernecks especially on the internet. 

As the developing of the story, I gave up the idea of eating watermelon since it has a lot of cultural ambiguities. So that the art direction is changed as well. 

Character Development

Color Script

Part of the color script of the film. It is a dark story happened in a raining night. The mood went to a totally different direction compering with the very early designs which was bright and colorful.
